I feel really rather honoured to have been asked to come along to this event over the weekend. I will be there in a work capacity for the various Pure Fishing brands which my fishing world covers, but together with the grownup work stuff I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally get to see the Glasgow Angling Centre. A huge shop that I have heard so much about, I am going to try my absolute best to exercise a level of self-control so that I don’t spend way more than I will earn from my work over the next few days!

And by pure chance my youngest brother William will also be up in Glasgow for the weekend to show his first feature film "Jericho Ridge" at the Glasgow Film Festival. If you are at a loose end on Saturday evening or Sunday lunchtime then get yourself along because it's an awesome film. Proper thrill ride. Can't wait to see it on a big screen, I believe there will be a Q&A after the screenings with my brother and various cast members. Link to the screenings and the film's trailer are in the comments section below. I will be there on Saturday evening. A trailer to the film is below.
About the only things I am not looking forward to this weekend are the inevitable slaggings I am sure to receive for the recent England v Scotland Six Nations debacle, and of course the fact that England are playing Ireland on Saturday afternoon and I’m dreading it. Sod’s law says Ireland will suddenly forget how to play what is surely the best and most connected rugby of any teams in the world right now, but I don’t think so. I really hope to see some of you in Glasgow over the weekend. I am flying out of Exeter later on and then early tomorrow morning I will head out onto the streets of Glasgow for a run. The training sequence from Rocky it will not be, but my running shoes are packed! I am doing a few talks and demonstrations at this Glasgow Angling Centre’s Spring Open Weekend so I rather hope a couple of people turn up to hear me shout all things fishing at them! You all have a good weekend, catch you next week.
